Testing Version 2 of the RS-485 Shield

by Stephen Makonin

Yesterday I received the new PCBs for Fritzing for a RS-485 Shield that will work withe Arduino Due and Maple. This shield has headers to either plug in and XBee module or Electric Imp breakout board for wireless communications. I have tested the Rs-485 communications and all is working well. Next, I will test XBee and Imp communications. Here are some pictures:

Hello..i hope you van help… i look for some rs485 schemas or devices that that can be addressable to communicate with non-rs485 devices… rs232! Such as rs232>rs485>addressable rs485 and make the rs232 signals for that device… and so on and so on…

There are many different device gateways you can buy to do al sort of serial conversions. Two such companies are Digi (http://www.digi.com) and Moxa (http://www.moxa.com).

    Hope that helps,
    Stephen.
